Excuse my first film. My Side (2017), a student short made for K.C. College’s BMM festival, Blitz 2017. Winner :) The film, it’s the journey of an emotional breakout to a practical epiphany. Back in my third and final year of college is the first time I ever thought and executed in 24 frames per sec. It felt like an exaggerated first hand simulation to how the rest of my life will look like, as the famous reel saying goes, I didn’t want to work 9-5 so now I work 24/7. The entire journey of this film also helped us figure what feels illegal but isn’t, ‘making a student film in bollyland, with, “ajj to pakka jail!” being a persistent vibe on set and that’s also what made it thrilling, an ‘on the edge’ experience. On top of that having no experience whatsoever in any of the processes boiled everything down to, ‘how badly you want it?’ EXTREMELY :) Needless to say the first set of people who were by your side marching towards executing a collective vision, figuring every process on the go are to cherish forever. Excuse my 3rd film! Pooja & Prejudice (2017), made for Jai Hind College’s BMM festival, Detour 2017. Winner  It gives perspective to a phenomenon that occurred back then. If you existed in 2016/17, you will know. The first time I went with the first idea that popped in due to the lack of time, but wouldn’t have had it any other way. This one makes me miss college a little too much. The irreplaceable energy of doing whatever the you want to. The freedom of going completely bizarre and not being answerable / accountable to no one. That was gold! So much appreciation to everyone who had turned up on such short notice!
